“THE PAIN” BY SOLES OPENS ITS DOORS

The physiotherapy and rehabilitation clinic developed by Sieco Medical Architecture for the Soles de Mexicali basketball team opened its doors on July 1st, providing treatment to all the players of the team.

It is not every day that one has the opportunity to design a space for a professional sports team—and even more so, for the team of your city, your own colors.

The greatest challenge we faced in creating this clinic was how to optimize an unused space within the PSF Auditorium, which, due to its abandoned condition, lacked sufficient and adequate electrical and lighting installations, among other things.

In addition, the available working hours were limited to times when the team was not training, due to the noise and movement of materials and people. It is worth mentioning that we always had the support of the technical staff, the players, the maintenance and administrative personnel, and even the security guards, who made it possible for our work to be carried out as efficiently as possible.

Since preseason was about to begin, we had only three weeks to complete the entire project and construction, which required multiple shifts and overtime work. Nevertheless, we are very pleased with the result.

The project includes: a reception area, the physiotherapist’s office with a private treatment bed, four massage cubicles with their respective equipment, a weight and resistance training area, a functional area, a medicine ball training wall, a storage room, an area for future equipment installations, and two restrooms (men’s and women’s).

The Pain, by Soles will become a benchmark in our city, with the same winning philosophy of the Club. In addition, it will be open to serve the entire sports community of Mexicali and the state.

Testimonial

We are deeply grateful to Sieco Medical, and especially to Eng. Jorge Lucano, for the care provided and the invaluable support during the development of our new physiotherapy clinic project. From the initial concept to the final delivery of the facility, their professionalism and commitment were key in achieving a first-class space. The work over these months has been demanding, always meeting the deadlines so that the clinic would be ready and in optimal condition to operate and serve the Soles’ first team.

Today, we can proudly say that we have one of the best-equipped and best-designed recovery clinics in the city, located in the very cradle of sports in Mexicali.
